Yeah, today's comic... is the past two weeks at work. My office is feast or famine, and right now is caloric intake galore. (FEAST)

Allergies are insane and trying to eat me from the inside out. My head and sinuses want to explode. Asthma is trying to move up from occasional renter to property management. GET OUT YOU BODY SQUATTER!

Soon I get to attempt my first electrical project around the house. I am so lucky to have married a man who is stupid enough to let me play with power tools. (Okay, the electrical project shouldn't require power tools at this stage of the game. Step one will be splicing some wires. OOOH! My first use of wirenuts! I know. the excitement is just UNBEARABLE!!)

The question of the project is.... can I work with the mess this home's previous "flippers" left behind? Time will tell!

(PS: Proud of my Giants this week! Hooray for the protection the offensive line was able to give Eli. I'm so impressed! But they can't keep playing easy teams forever. Will their streak hold?)

Friday 10/02/09

I've been fighting something off all week, so only a short message today. I was frustrated that the previous strip looked so pale and bland, but I was matching the colors to my real gym locker room. My depiction was pretty close! The whole thing really is done in yellow-hued tans. snooze fest! Today's strip allowed me more color and Tuesday's is more colorful yet. Yes, I'm 5 years old. "Oooh! Pretty Colors!"

I actually had someone ask me that! Okay, maybe if I had already been to my gym bag, put some stuff on, sure, maybe I would have had my watch. But she honestly asked me the moment I got out of the shower! I was so surprised, I didn't know what to say. I belive my reply sounded like: "Oh, um... no.... I can't take it in the shower with me."

I couldn't wait to draw the moment and have been mentally holding on to this one for a while. =)

Friday 9/25/09

Today's is dedicated to my wonderful husband. His experiences with deaf hair stylists have led him to always cut his own hair. Interestingly, I had simmilar experiences when I lived in Japan. The stylists had never seen my frail, fine, limp white-girl hair before and they didn't know what to do with it. My basic Japanese did not elaborate enough and... the result wasn't pretty. I came to the same conclusion my future husband would later choose! I cut my own hair for the rest of my time in Japan....

...I should have stuck with the bad stylists. Haha. Oh, those are some amusingly terrible photos!

Tuesday 9/22/09

What a week! Finished re-mortaring our outdoor stone wall, saw some fantastic football, finally watched Watchmen , and got my digital prints of the wedding photos! Quite a success.

I can sure be a dull conversationalist this time of year. My brain is totally focused on the X's & O's. I love the stratedgy, skill and brute force. The air is crisp but not nippy yet, so it's just begging me to drag my husband out for some catch and out patterns. =)

Oh, and I just love dressing Nessa in crazy "fashionable" ensembles. Hee hee.

X's & O's THREE HUNDRETH STRIP! Can you believe it? It's gone so fast! So many thanks to all my fans and supporters!

In random news: Do you find that all of your batteries die at the same time? My home is currently going through The Great Battery Purge and everything from C's to AAA's are just keeling over in unison. It's be beautiful in its coreography if it wasn't so dang annoying!

Boy, I need to start writing these things earlier in the night! I have not forgotten about all the stinky, broken things on the new page layout, but "real life" has been bogging me down. They will get fixed! ... I make no promises as to when... (But it's driving me crazy, so it won't be too long).

In other news, I've been wasting waaaaay too much time trying to submit to the Amazon comic superstar contest. ARG AND FRUSTRATIONS! Now it's 1 hour past my bedtime and I'm still here banging my head against the keyboard. owwie!

I just love Labor day! It really gives an opportunity to sit back and really appreciate all those people we usually take for granted: Our postman, garbageman, supermarket cashier, etc. Sadly, so many of the unappreciated are the very people who still have to work on Labor Day! Many thanks to all of you!!

... or maybe I just like it because I used to be one of those people who had to work on Labor Day and 4th of July and Black Friday... but I'm not anymore!

Welcome to X's & O's fabulous new webpage layout! HOORAY!

...
Oy! Does my new layout need work! Hopefully I'll have all the bugs worked out soon. (Please bear with me!) For one thing, I finally got the swanky calendar up... but can't figure out how to make it link yet. Do'oh!

Of course... all of this would be MUCH easier if my stupid neighbors hadn't been partying until 4AM last night! My alarm goes off at 5:30AM on weekdays and it's been a very demanding day for so little sleep. So I keep trying to argue with html that would probably just fall into place, had I my normal facilities. Alas!

Lastly, I'm sure the guest book will be the last to update. I've been putting that correction off for YEARS! But stay tuned! I'll be tweaking this site into perfection before you know it!
