While X's & O's isn't autobiographical, much of Christine's inspiration comes from her daily life, family and friends.  The main character, Corin, is roughly based on herself.  In fact, Christine has frequently been described as a "living cartoon."

Christine's comic influences include: For Better or For Worse, Calvin and Hobbes, Muts and her list of favorite comics to read extend a great deal longer.  She would love to, one day, see her comics in a newspaper beside those strips she's admired for years.

Christine draws her strips freehand, inks them, and then scans them. The final bits of editing and the color is added with Adobe Photoshop.
